What is TYP?
Tucson Young Professionals is a group of young business and community leaders focused on the attraction, retention, and promotion of young professionals in Tucson. Together we create a voice to help impact the development and growth of Tucson. Welcoming ages 21-45.
About our Speaker:
Randi Dorman moved from Manhattan to Downtown Tucson in 2001 and she has been going full speed ever since, developing projects and organizations that have helped make Downtown what it is today. After a successful career in advertising and global branding in NY, Randi shifted her focus to real estate development with the development of the Ice House Lofts in downtown Tucson.
She is passionate about Downtown Tucson and arts and culture in the community. She was President of the Museum of Contemporary Art Tucson for over 5 years and created a weekly email called “Randi’s Picks” that highlighted events in Tucson, with a focus on the arts and downtown. In addition, Randi did branding consulting with Bromberg Consulting and is proud to be the Chairwoman of the Downtown Tucson Partnership.
“You never know where life is going to take you, and if you are open to the possibilities, the journey can surprise you in wonderful ways. That is why I am passionate about showing what is possible through our developments.”
Randi’s favorite role is that of mom to Skye, who is already making her own way and having a positive impact on this community we love.
Earlier this year, Randi expanded her love for the community and ran to be the next Mayor of Tucson. While not winning her party’s nomination and moving past the primary, the process inspired her to continue messaging Tucson’s potential and encouraging others to be a part of making it the best possible community.
