First Fridays is back at the Tucson Museum of Art and we’re showcasing their current exhibition, Frida Kahlo: Through the Lens of Nickolas Muray.
TYP, with the support of Arizona Tech Council, will be celebrating the science of the Southwest. Scott Calhoun, acclaimed author and horticulturist, will present the science of harvesting agaves to produce distilled mescal and tequila. Finely Distributing will illustrate the science of beer and showcase beer flights from six local microbreweries. The Jons- a Spanish/English rock band will entertain guests with their blazing sounds of original music and Café a la Cart will provide complimentary, velvety Mexican hot chocolate and decadent desserts.
First Fridays events are a place for Tucson’s young professional crowd to gather together and simultaneously enjoy local art, music and food. Each event provides an opportunity for its patrons to leave their casual-wear at home, don more formal apparel, and delight in various local talents.
“The First Fridays events provide an environment for Tucson’s young professionals to network while enjoying the many facets that make our community what it is,” said Jeff Ell, TYP President.
