Lea has been an entrepreneur in our community for many years and has served as the President/ CEO of the Tucson Hispanic Chamber since 2009. The Tucson Hispanic Chamber serves the business community in the bilingual, bi-cultural region of the Arizona-Sonora border and was recognized as the Hispanic Chamber of the Year in 2013 by the U.S Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. The chamber represents over 1800 member businesses and in partnership with the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry is one of the largest chambers in the State of Arizona. She previously served as the Executive Director for Greater Tucson Leadership (GTL) from 2005 to 2009 and owned and operated a chain of gasoline stations / convenience stores from 1998 – 2005 in the Tucson region.

Lea was appointed by the Obama administration to the National Woman’s Business Council (NWBC) in which she served for three years. The NWBC advises the President, Congress and the SBA on issues facing woman-owned businesses in the nation. She has been appointed by Governor Doug Ducey to co-chair the Arizona Zanjeros, a business leadership group formed to ensure the state continues to flourish economically by driving business growth and promoting Arizona’s extraordinary assets. She was selected to serve on Governor Doug Ducey’s Transition Team in 2014 and co-chaired the subcommittee on Economic Development, Entrepreneurship and Trade. She serves on the Boards of the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Visit Tucson, Arizona Town Hall and the Pima County Workforce Investment Board. She also serves on the national board for the Latino Coalition, an affiliate of the U.S Chamber of Commerce. She currently chairs the boards of St Mary’s Hospital, Pima Association of Governments Economic Vitality Committee and the Tucson Business Alliance. She formally served as the Chairwoman of the Southern Arizona Business Roundtable, the Past Chair of the Southern Arizona Chamber of Commerce Alliance, the Founder and Past Chair of the Pima County Small Business Commission, the Chairwoman of the University of Arizona Hispanic Advisory Council and is a Past President of the Tucson chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners.

Lea was recognized by the National Football League with a 2015 Hispanic Heritage Award by the Arizona Cardinals, the University of Arizona Eller College with a 2014 Extraordinary Woman in Business award , the University of Arizona Alumni Association with the 2012 Distinguished Citizen Award, the 2011 State of Arizona Minority Business Advocate of the Year, the 2009 Rising Star by the Hispanic Professional Action Committee, the 2008 Business Advocate of the Year by MED Week, a 2007 Woman of Influence by Inside Tucson Business, was recognized as a 40 under 40 recipient and honored with a University of Arizona Entrepreneurial Fellow award. In addition, she is a Flinn Brown Fellow and an Honorary Rotarian.

She received her undergraduate degrees in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from the University of Arizona, and her Masters in Business Administration from Pepperdine University. She is married with two children.

About Lisa Lovallo:

Joining Cox in 2008, Lisa Lovallo is responsible for all the Southern Arizona business, public affairs and community relations functions in both Pima and Cochise Counties.

Prior to Cox, Lovallo worked for Procter & Gamble in the Los Angeles market.
In 1992, Lovallo left P&G to start her own business, North American Enterprises.  She spent 14 years building and growing a successful international import and export business, comprised of over 20 European manufacturers and 80 food service and grocery distributors throughout the US market.

After the sale of North American Enterprises, Lovallo began teaching as an Adjunct Professor at the U of A’s  Eller College of Management and worked as the Director of Student Advancement and Development in the CORPORATE HEADSHOT lovallo lisa_ppuniversity’s Student Affairs Division.  During her tenure at the U of A, Lovallo also ran for the Arizona State Legislature and served on numerous non-profit Boards in Tucson.

Lovallo serves on numerous community boards including Sun Corridor Inc., the Southern Arizona Leadership Council, the Tucson Airport Authority, the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum and The Arizona We Want.   She is also on Tucson Medical Center’s Board Quality Care Committee, and was the Chair of the 2014 United Way annual fundraising campaign.

Lovallo was named “Woman of the Year” for 2010 by the Tucson Metro Chamber of Commerce. She has also been named “A Woman of Influence” by Inside Tucson Business, a “Woman on the Move” by the YWCA and was given the “Spirit of Philanthropy” award by the Association of Fundraising Professionals for her outstanding contributions to the Southern Arizona community.   And more recently received the “Phyllis Ehlinger Women of Excellence Award” from the American Advertising Federation Tucson.

Lovallo grew up in Tucson and is a graduate of the University of Arizona.  At the U of A she earned a bachelor’s degree in English, was the Student Body Vice President and played on Arizona’s Women’s basketball team.

Arts for All Talent Show

Arts for All (A4A) is holding its annual talent show on Saturday, July 23rd from 2PM to 3PM and TYP is very excited to be involved. There are many ways you can contribute to this great event including volunteer opportunities, or by simply just attending a great variety show filled with song and dance!

Here are the details:

WHERE: Pima Community College – West Campus – 2202 West Anklam Road, Tucson, AZ 85745

Volunteer Opportunity #1: On Friday, July 22nd (the day before the show), Arts for All needs a couple volunteers to help set up the art gallery. Time is to be determined.

Volunteer Opportunity #2: On Saturday, July 23rd (the day of the show) they will need help with signing people in and out of the venue. There will be 4 shifts with 2 people assigned to each. The shifts will be:

  • 8AM to 10AM
  • 10AM to Noon
  • Noon to 2PM
  • 2PM to 4PM

Volunteer Opportunity #3:  A4A needs 2 to 4 Ushers to show people to their seats for the show from 1PM to 2:30PM.

Just-for-Fun Opportunity! Attend the show! On Saturday, July 23rd from 2PM to 3PM. No RSVP needed for this opportunity, simply show up. It is $10 at the door.

Volunteer Opportunity #4: A4A needs 4 to 6 people to help clean up the gallery and back stage after the show from 3PM to 4PM Ushers to show people to their seats from 1PM to 2:30PM

He also has a Series 65 license for financial and investment advising. Mark specializes in small business taxation and business management consulting. His valued clients range from individuals and small business owners to worldwide franchise operations in several countries and states. Mark is a Tucson native and enjoys being actively involved in the community. He has sat on the Board of Directors for several local organizations and charities and coaches little league and club baseball in his spare time. Mark founded our firm in September 2003.
